English: Example of Domain Slamming phishing email by Network Solutions. The email was received by an OpenSRS custemer after he registered a domain through OpenSRS.
English: The screen capture is of an unsolicted [phishing] email from Network Solutions. It attempted to trick me into using Network Solution services, including changing the registrar (i.e., "Domain Slamming"). Notice the deceitful tactics: (1) appears to be offcial or legitimate; (2) demands action; (3) confusing names (I am an OpenSRS customer, not a SRS customer); (4) propensity to confuse uneducated consumers; (5) all rights are given up by following any linking the email; (6) the terms of service indemnify Network Solutions. The screen capture was taken so it could be displayed as a thumbnail with the Domain Slamming wikipedia subtopic/article.
